2018 Western Little League Fundraiser

Why must we raise funds?

Every year, our Little League holds a fundraiser to help fund our League’s operations during the entire year.  The Western Board wants to share why such a fundraiser is necessary to have a successful Little League program and we want to explain our expectations for the fundraiser.

Running a successful Little League program is expensive, and the Board wants you to know that money earned from fundraisers is used to pay for services that are essential for such success.  Utilities and Team Jerseys/Baseball Equipment account for our largest expenses at 60%.  All Star expenses are 12%, League Charter/District expenses are 7%, umpire fees are 12%, repairs/maintenance 6% and miscellaneous are 3%.  Even though baseball doesn’t take place in Late Summer and Fall, we still have to pay for our fields!

What is our 2018 Fundraiser?

The Western Board has chosen a raffle to be our 2018 fundraiser.  We will raffle a UTV and a Yeti cooler this year.  We expect each Little League player to sell 10 raffle tickets for $10 each.  If a player chooses not to participate in the raffle, the Board expects the player to pay $50 as an opt-out fee.  If you choose to participate in the raffle, we will assign your raffle tickets to you and ask that you return all ticket stubs and money by May.  The drawings will be held in May and the winners will be contacted by a member of the Board if they are not present.

We appreciate your participation in this fundraiser!  Our goal is to make our Little League program the BEST it can be!
